If you’re dreaming of getting back to nature on a trip to Australia’s southwest and looking for a suitable Margaret River camping spot, Wharncliffe Mill Bush retreat is ideally situated within Bramley National Park. With its admirable commitment to conservation, Wharncliffe Mill allows you to enjoy all the famous Margaret River attractions whilst leaving as little imprint as possible on this beautiful and sensitive environment.

After exploring the beautiful coastal areas of Dunsborough and Yallingup on my epic Perth to Adelaide adventure, I headed south to experience both forest and coast at Western Australia’s well-known holiday hotspot Margaret River. I was so impressed with my stay at Wharncliffe Mill that I thought I’d dedicate a whole blog post to it! So here’s an overview of the facilities and activities on offer.

Wharncliffe Mill Eco Tourism

It was the conservation efforts of Wharncliffe Mill that led me to choose it as my Margaret River camping destination. As well as offering Aboriginal cultural tours, the retreat has implemented solar power, rain water tanks, wastewater recycling, revegetation and replanting of native species, weed management strategies and offers a fleet of mountain bikes to discourage guests from driving.
